The Warren Central Junior High School boys basketball team finished a great season Saturday with a 50-31 loss to Germantown.

Jalen Winters led the Vikings in points, dominating with 24 points. He was one of the Viking’s best players this season for Warren Central Junior High and a key reason for their success.

The Vikings finished the season with a 9-7 record, and they fought hard to make it all the way to the Little Six Championship game. On Thursday, they surprised Vicksburg Junior High with a 46-44 victory that sent them to the big game.

Warren Central’s junior high team was coached by Charles Swartz and Kensell Batty who put in hard work to prepare the young men for a great season. The Vikings eighth-grade players will move on to high school next season where they will fight again to make it to the championship.
