Two stolen vehicles were recovered in Warren County before the weekend.

At around 5 p.m. on Thursday, a 2019 Ford F-250 was found parked on Silver Creek with no plates.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace stated that the VIN number of the vehicle was ran and the owner registered to the VIN was contacted. The registered owner told authorities that the vehicle had been sold and no longer belonged to them.

Pace stated another database was used and the vehicle was found to have been reported stolen out of Jackson. The vehicle was subsequently impounded.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department is working with Hinds County and Jackson authorities on this case.

A second stolen vehicle was recovered on Friday, at around 4 p.m.

Deputy Zack Primeaux and Pace were on Highway 80, near the Hinds county line, following up on a case when they noticed a 1975 Pontiac convertible on the side of the road. A man was observed near the vehicle with a gas can. Pace and Primeaux stopped to assist.

Pace stated the tags were ran, as it is standard procedure, and was alerted the vehicle was reported stolen by a family member out of Yazoo.

The vehicle was seized and impounded. The suspect, Eric Wade Kimble, 32, of Yazoo, was taken into custody and has since been released.
