Warren County Board of Supervisors approves Dozer LLC’s bid for Halls Ferry Road Bridge Repair Project

On Monday, the Warren County Board of Supervisors heard several items from County Engineer Keith O’Keefe, one of which concerned approval of the bid award for the Halls Ferry Road Bridge Repair Project.
“We received three bids (those are LLC), the low bidder in the amount of $989,299.00. We’ve reviewed the bid, the bid package and recommend approval…to Dozer LLC,” said O’Keefe.
O’Keefe further asked to reject the higher bids from Joe McGee Co. Inc. in the amount of $1,890,588.61 as well as the bid from Key LLC in the amount of $1,374,709.27.
“The bids came in a little above the funding level,” O’Keefe said, detailing how the project will require an allowance of an additional $74,599 to meet the lowest bid.
When asked by Supervisor Shawn Jackson whether the higher rates were just a result of the current times, O’Keefe confirmed stating, “There’s money available for projects, so all these contractors are busy. They’re stretched for labor, and that’s what’s causing this increase.”
The Board approved accepting the lowest bid from Dozer LLC.
