According to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, three individuals have been arrested on drug charges.

Just after midnight on July 23, Deputy T’onna Sims stopped a 2003 GMC pickup on Hwy 27 near Paxton Road due to a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the arrest of Wanda Marie Turner, 40, of Vicksburg. Turner was arrested for possession of 20 grams of crystal methamphetamine and charged with felony possession with intent.

Sheriff’s records indicate that Turner was also stopped by Sheriff Pace on July 13 at about 6:30 p.m. on Clay Street for a traffic violation. A search subsequent to that stop yielded approximately 42 grams of crystal methamphetamine, resulting in Turner being charged with trafficking. Turner was out on bond when Deputy Sims stopped her 10 days later. As a result, she is currently being held without bail in the Warren County Jail.

In a separate incident on July 19, just after 1 a.m., Deputy T’onna Sims pulled over a 2009 Chevy sedan for a traffic violation on I-20 near the 6-mile marker. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana. Antonia Felix, 48, of Vicksburg, was arrested. He was additionally charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

On July 20, Damion Lamone Carroll, 28, of Vicksburg was arrested as he reported to his probation officer. Uniformed deputies were waiting for him, and he was arrested and charged on a warrant for two counts of sale of powder cocaine. This was a result of an undercover operation led by Investigators Jeff Merritt and Eric Jersheid.

Judge Jeff Crevitt set a $30,000 bond for the new charges. However, since Carroll was already on probation, he is being held by the MDOC in the Warren County Jail.
