Warren County Drug Court is operational through the COVID-19 crises, but adjustments have been made to protect staff and participants from the virus.

Drug Court Director Sharonda Taylor said Monday that that several people have reached out to her to ask if the court was still meeting given the statewide shelter-in-place order.

Taylor said that effective Thursday, April 9, all court hearings and meetings will be conducted through the Zoom online meeting app, which offers a free version.

The court will do drug screenings on the following schedule:

  • Phase 1- every week
  • Phase 2 – every other week
  • Phase 3- every three weeks
  • Phase 4 – quarterly
  • Random drug screenings are set up as necessary.

Everything in the court is being set up to observe COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. The staff also have plenty of cleaning supplies to make sure the space is properly disinfected.

All drug court participants should have the phone numbers of the coordinator and the field officers in case they have questions.
