Warren County Emergency Director John Elfer updated the Vicksburg Daily News on the extent of the damages caused by Friday morning’s storm.  Elfer stated the storm caused significant damage to 12 homes and five businesses in the area.

Many trees were uprooted, resulting in blocked roads across the county. Road crews are working diligently to clear the trees, but residents are advised to allow extra time for their commutes.

Power outages have also been reported, leaving many households without electricity. Crews are actively working to restore power, but it may take some time to fully resolve the issue. Meanwhile, emergency response teams, including firefighters, Sheriff’s Deputies, and Emergency Management personnel, are working to maintain safety and security in the affected areas.

We will update as more information becomes available.
