Warren County firefighters assist Yazoo County with grass fire

Just after 2 p.m. Monday, Yazoo County requested assistance from Warren County firefighters to extinguish a grass fire in Yazoo County about a mile from the Warren County line on State Highway 3.

The fire was contained to a small area of less than 100 yards on the western shoulder of the highway.

Culkin Engine 202 was deployed from the Redwood Station with Chief Lamar Frederick and firefighter Joshua Reeves on board. Northeast Fire Chief Shane Garrard also responded.
