Warren County home destroyed by afternoon blaze

A Warren County home was lost after a fire claimed the structure on Monday afternoon.

Around 1:45 p.m. a structure fire was reported on Fonsylvania Road.

Reports indicate the sound of ammunition exploding could be heard through the flames.

Firefighters are confident no one was within the home at the time. However, two dogs are currently unaccounted for.

There is no word as to what started the fire.
