A Warren County man was arrested after security cameras allegedly captured him driving a modified golf cart, stealing items from private property.

On Apr. 20, a Warren County deputy received a report of theft in the 3600 block of Jeff Davis Road. According to the report, an unknown person had trespassed onto the private property of the victim and had stolen a brush bumper from the front of a pickup truck, along with a tool box full of tools and other miscellaneous items, including solid black netting.

Security cameras in the area captured footage of the vehicle used in the theft, which was identified as a modified golf cart. The golf cart was later found on Lawland Drive. A search warrant was obtained and served on Thursday at just after 2 p.m.

During the search, law enforcement officials were able to recover the stolen brush bumper, tool box with tools, and netting. Additionally, an arrest was made in connection with the theft. 40-year-old Robby Beard was taken into custody and charged with grand larceny.

Judge Jeff Crevitt set Beard’s bond at $5,000.
