Watch: Academy of Innovation celebrates facility opening

The Academy of Innovation held an opening ceremony to celebrate a new state-of-the-art facility at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

School leaders, students and elected officials were invited to attend the event which serves seventh and eighth grade students by focusing on student-centered learning and offers a technologically enhanced curriculum. The academy has grown from 80 students to about 400 students in five years.

The new Academy of Innovation was made possible due to an $83 million facilities bond passed in March of 2020.
