Water line break on Rifle Range Rd. has been repaired

Public restrooms throughout Pemberton Blvd. and around Wal-Mart were out of order most of the day due to low water pressure but should be back in running order before the end of the night.

Dane Lovell who is in charge of the water and sewer department shared an update on the water line break reported by the City of Vicksburg Tuesday evening.

There was a four inch water main break off of Rifle Range Road.

The city has not been placed under a boil water notice. Lovell stated the water pressure did not go below 20 PSI and is therefore safe to consume.

The water pressure was restored between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and should pose no further complications to businesses.
