WC boy’s and girl’s track team finished in first place on Thursday

Warren Central High School boy’s and girl’s track teams finished in first place during the WC invitational on Thursday.

Girl’s results:

The Lady Vikes finished with 184 points followed by Vicksburg High who had 156 and Morton 63.

Adria Burrell came in first in the 100M with 12.50 while Jakayla Brooks came in second with 13.27.

Vicksburg’s Kalia Bland controlled the 100m hurdles at 17.21 followed by WC’s Alexis Jefferies(17.59) and Mere Smith(17.89).

200m:

WC won the 4X100 with a time of 51.49 with runners Zakyah Watkins, Ward, Amiyah Montgomery and Burrell. WC also won the 4X200, 4X400 while VHS won the 4X800.

1. CarJessa Albert 78 ft

High Jump:

1. Carter 4.1

2. Jaela Smith 4.6

3. Hunter 4.4

Long Jump:

Carter 5.1, Rodrianna Hall 5.05 and Tamya Sims 4.62.

Triple jump 

Carted jumped at 37 feet and Hall at 35 feet while Jeffries was at 32 feet.

Shot Put:

Calise Henyard came in first place(30’1).

Boy’s results:

3. Daniel Williams 11.37

110m hurdles 

Koury Vample 16.17, Kaleb Hanger 18.35 and Ciertrich Russell 19.70.

Williams came in third place in the 200m.

300m hurdles:

1. Derrick Rainey 44.04

2. Hanger 45.40

3. Russell 47.42

Stanley Doyle won the 400m at 52.91 and Michael Godshaw 53.41(2nd).

800m

2. Chester Savage 2:21.89

WC came in third place in the 4X100, 4X200, 4X800 and second place in the 4X200 and 4X400.

Discus:

Darius Fuller finished first with 37.44m and VHS’ Malachi Drake came in second at 29.11.

Jonathan Henderson finished first in the high jump at 6.4 inches and Jaylon Winters came in third at 5.8.

Gator Nicholas Mickey won the long jump at 20.1 feet and WC’s Ricky Neal came in third by finishing at 19.9.

Tyler Henderson won the triple jump at 41.9 inches and Winters finished in second with 38.6.

Shot Put:

Drake ended in first place at 40.5 feet in front of Ronnie Blossom’s 36 and Javion Allen 34 feet.

Harber Williams finished in first in the pole vault at 8.00.
