WC defeated Ridgeland in regular season finale

The Warren Central High School softball team finished its last regular season game on Tuesday with an 11-1 win over Ridgeland.

Kayleigh Karel got the first hit of the night, followed by a triple from Sarah Cameron Fancher that led to the first run. Abby Morgan got the next RBI, along with Kamryn Morson, giving the Lady Vikes a 3-0 lead.

Kennadi Williams got WC on the board in the second with a single, while Makayla Jackson brought in another two runs in the third with a nice hit.

In the fourth inning, MK Ferguson and Maddy Pant both hit ground balls that brought in a total of three runs, along with Jenn Smith, who sacrificed to bring in another run. Kennedi McKay also got a triple, along with an RBI.

Ferguson had two RBIs on the night, while Jackson had a hit and two RBIs as well. Morson, Madison Spencer, Karel, Williams, Fancher, Adalyn Anderson, and McKay all had a hit.

Morgan struck out three and allowed zero hits, while Pant struck out four and only allowed three hits.
