Warren Central High School boy’s basketball team secured a 63-59 win on Senior Night.

“I’d be lying if I say I wasn’t proud,” WC Head Coach Keith Williams said. This game really gave us a true feeling of winning and I’m so happy that my two seniors can go out with a bang.”

Gaylon Turner Jr, Jaylon Winters and Padre Gray Jr. all hit 3-pointers in the first quarter to give the Vikings a 19-7 lead. The Bulldogs found their way back in the second quarter but big shots and blocks by Jonathan Henderson and Deonta Segrest kept WC ahead 23-17.

Coming out of halftime, Garrett Orgas-Fisher went hard inside the paint while Gray knocked down two 3-pointers. Ronnie Blossom also showed his toughness as Terry began to creep back into the game just shortly before Roosevelt Harris Jr. hit a big 3-pointer to keep WC up 45-39 heading into the fourth.

In the final quarter of play, The Bulldogs managed to gain the lead but a 3-pointer by Turner would change things along with Harris drawing a key foul. Final second free throws secured the win for the Vikings in the heated game.

Gray led with 17 points while Turner finished with 14. Fisher ended the night with 11 while Blossom, Harris and Winters all had three. Segrest and Henderson both had two points in the win.
