WC fell short against St. Andrews

Warren Central High School baseball team took an 8-7 loss to St. Andrews on Monday night.

The Vikings popped things off first with a two-run home run by Maddox Lynch. The Saints responded with a two-run home run of their own to tie the game at 2-2.

Two walks in the second helped WC go up 4-2.  The Saints didn’t take the lead until the fifth inning after hitting a couple of home runs.Late singles from Lynch and Trace Hood along with a double by Conner Watkins tied the game at 7.

St. Andrews would score from an error to take home the 8-7 win.

Lynch went 3 for 3 with four RBIs while Watkins(2 RBIs) and Cade Fairley both had two hits. Ryan Steed, Ryan Nelson, Lester Martin and Hood(1 RBI) all had one hit.

Watkins struck out three batters and Nathaniel Moore struck out one.
