WC knocked off Jefferson County 86-60
A standout 35-point performance by Gaylon Turner Jr. helped Warren Central to a 86-60 win over Jefferson County.
“We came together as a team and pulled it off and we’re going to continue to have a dominating mindset heading into Friday’s game,” Turner said.
By halftime, the Vikings was up 48-28 after Roosevelt Harris Jr. and Robert Williams made shots alongside Turner. Jaylon Winter came alive in the second half while grabbing a few steals as Larry Reynolds Jr. profited at the free throw line.
Williams finished with 11 points while Harris and Winters added 10.Ronnie Blossom put up four points while Prince Marshall and Jonathan Henderson both had three. Daniel Brown scored two points and Turner finished as the main contributor with 35.
The Vikings will travel to play Port Gibson on Friday.
