WC Ninth and Eighth Grade Boys’ Basketball Teams Defeated Pearl on Thursday

Warren Central High School’s ninth and eighth-grade boys’ basketball teams pulled off wins over Pearl on Halloween night.

Ninth grade:

The Vikings stomped the Pirates 69-37 as Jordan Pugh and Jaylen DeFrance both led with 16 points each. Landen Burks added 10 points and Xavier Jackson scored nine. Jamal Washington contributed seven points and Mar’Taveon Sims put up four while Simon Lenzinger, Braylon Jenkins, and Trystan Fuller all scored two points. Deandre Flowers hit a free throw.

Eighth grade:

WCJHS crushed Pearl 40-16 as they improved to 4-0 on the year.

Braylen Selvy led the Vikings with 12 points while Ja’Ven Lee and Jordan Taylor both added seven points. Semiko Moody, Cameron Zellous, and Henry Trisby all scored four points. Jarrad Williams scored three points and Doss Morgan hit a free throw.
