WC picks up two district wins over Terry on Thursday

Warren Central High School softball team grabbed two district wins over Terry on Thursday at Sportsforce Park.
Game one:
WC went up 2-0 after a steal and a double from Mary Evelyn Hossley. Makayla Jackson would also get a double in the second inning to push the lead to 3-0.
The Lady Vikes would continue to rack up hits throughout the game as they shutout the Lady Bulldogs.
Kamryn Morson and Hossley both finished with two hits while Sarah Cameron Fancher, Jenn Smith, Tyra Bridges, Kennedi McKay, and Jackson all finished with one hit. Morson, Bridges, and Jackson each had two RBIs.
McKay, Jenn Smith, Jackson, and Hossley all had two scores each while Fancher finished with three.
Maddie Pant dominated in pitching by throwing a no-hitter and striking out nine.
Game two:
By the ending of the first inning WC took a 11-2 lead after multiple run scores from errors by the Bulldogs.
Sarah Cameron Fancher, Kayleigh Karel,  and Jenn Smith all finished with one hit. Karel led with three RBIs and Bridges and Jill Smith hit two while Fancher, Jill Smith, Jackson, and Adalyn Anderson all hit one in the 17-2 win.
Bridges, Hossley, and Jenn Smith each had three run scores.
Abby Morgan and Annalyn Nevels both struck out three in the win.
WC will host Loyd Star on Monday.
