WC softball team defeated PCA in a scrimmage on Thursday

Warren Central High School softball team defeated Porter’s Chapel Academy in a scrimmage on Thursday night.

Varsity:

The Lady Vikes would take a big lead early in the game as Jenn Smith would hit a double along with an inside-the-park home run. She finished with three RBIs on the day along with one stolen base.

“This game was very last minute but I’m happy that we came and showed out before the end of the summer,” Smith said.

Sarah Cameron Fancher, Kennadi Williams, Zion Harvey, Kennadi McKay, Whitley Parks and Maddy Pant all had hits for WC’s varsity team.

Pant and McKay both pitched in the win and struck out multiple batters.

Mia Abdo, Ali Blackmon and Natalie Cantin all had a hit for PCA while Emily Muirhead got an RBI. Muirhead and Sophie Masterson both pitched in the game.

Junior varsity:

WC won the junior varsity game as well with the help of seventh grader KK Williamson who struck out six batters and only allowed one hit. She also had one hit at bat.

McKinley Owens, Landy Elqadi, Addyson Smith, Caitlin Lewis and Calleigh Barnett all had hits in the win.
