WC tennis team opened district play with a win over Callaway

Warren Central High School tennis team opened district play with a 5-2 win over Callaway on Tuesday.

Lili Feibelman came out with a two 6-0 wins in the girls singles followed by two 6-0 victories by Brady Taylor and Gray Lampkin in the boys doubles. Avery Hern and Ellie Tennison took down Krista Harris and Alayshia Newson(7-5,6-1) in the No.1 girls doubles.

WC’s Amelia’s King and Laura Bailey both defeated Madison Goodin and Paige Wells(6-0,6-1) in the No.2 girls’ doubles. Luke Bond and Sydney Sullivan both came out on top in the mixed doubles(6-1,6-2) over Jessica Wells and Amauri Harris.

The Vikings will play again on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Halls Ferry Park.
