Warren Central boy’s basketball team took a 64-46 loss to Terry on Monday.

“We got to work,” WC Head Coach Keith Williams said. “The game plan was there but we got time to patch it and fix it and keep going.”

Padre Gray Jr. and Gaylon Turner Jr. both popped things off with a 3-pointer early in the game as WC trailed 15-11 in the first quarter.

LJ Reynolds came down with a crucial layup to start off the second quarter followed by a big dunk from Jonathan Henderson. Two 3-pointers by Turner would narrow Terry’s lead to 31-26 heading into halftime.

The Vikings suffered after halftime where Garrett Orgas-Fisher and Turner both issued the only points in the quarter where they trailed 41-31.

Ronnie Blossom and Turner both scored early in the fourth quarter along with Roosevelt Harris Jr. but it wasn’t enough to keep WC afloat as they took the tough loss.

Turner led with 21 points while Gray and Fisher both had six points. Harris finished with four points while Blossom and Henderson both had three. Reynolds finished with two points and Deonta Segrest hit a free throw.

WC will play again on Friday.
