The Warren County Board of Supervisors have approved an emergency declaration for Eagle Lake. The declaration will provide dumpsters in the area to assist residents in the area with the disposal of debris caused by last week’s tornado.

Just before 3:30 p.m. last Wednesday, Vicksburg Daily News was alerted to a call of a roof which was blown off a home at Eagle Lake. Eye witnesses confirmed the tornado touched down in the area.

Several homes at Eagle Lake received damage due to the twister. Debris littered several homes, the roadway and even wound up in trees.

Disposal of the debris left over from the storm has been a concern for many. The declaration aims to provide support with the cleanup efforts.
