WCHS girl’s track team had a successful meet Thursday

Warren Central High girl’s track team came in second place on Thursday, as many individuals finished their events in the top three.

“We were all really excited for this Germantown Dual Meet to see where we are individually and as a group,” said Head Coach Heather Casey. “These girls worked really hard during the offseason to prepare, and I saw many positives out there.”

Players who placed in the top three:

  1. Alex Lawson- 2nd place in 100 M dash, 3rd place in 400 M dash.
  2. Tylah Magee-2nd place in 200 M dash, 1st place in 400 M dash.
  3. Alexis Jefferies-2nd place in 100 hurdles
  4. Benicia Gross-2nd place in 300 hurdles.
  5. Erin Lawson-2nd place in high jump.
  6. Ta’Mya Sims-1st place in triple jump and 2nd place in long jump.
  7. Keyondria Tarleton-3rd place long jump.
  8. Abby Hughes-2nd place in shot put and third place in discus.

4X100 relay team second place members:

  1. Madison Banks
  2. Asheria Kennedy
  3. Alexis Jefferies
  4. Azeris Dotson

4X200 relay team second place:

  1. Madison Banks
  2. Tylah Magee
  3. Azariah Dotson
  4. Alexis Lawson

4X400 relay second place:

  1. Alexis Jefferies
  2. Kennedi Fitzgerald
  3. Jasmine Banks
  4. Taylor O’Leary

4X100 thrower’s relay first place:

  1. Gabrelle McLeod
  2. Ramerian Hamilton
  3. Abby Hughes
  4. Bre McDowell
