WCJHS boy’s basketball team headed to the second round

Warren Central Junior High School boy’s basketball team will advance to the second round of the Little Six Tournament after defeating Ridgeland 43-34 on Wednesday.

KJ Wynn, Micah Moore and Davon O’Neal got the Vikings on the board early in the win as they trailed 11-9 in the first quarter. Tristan Jamison came in hot in the second quarter to help WCJHS go up 25-18 at halftime.

Blake Caruthers took over things in the second half by making big plays on both offense and defense to help the Vikings secure the win.

Caruthers led with 13 points and Moore added seven while Jamison and O’Neal both scored six. Wynn put up four points while D.Gibbs and Nash Morgan finished with three.
