WCJHS football team defeated Northwest Rankin 24-6 on Tuesday

Warren Central Junior High School football team took down Northwest Rankin 24-6 in their season-opener on Tuesday.

The Vikings was led by quarterback Cameron Zellous who took the snaps. Xavier Jackson was named as the MVP of the game after scoring three touchdowns, including a 40-yarder. Logan Evans also had nine carries for 65 yards.

The Viking defense was led by Jomar Hunt who racked up 10 tackles and two sacks at the defensive end position.

WCJHS will travel to Germantown on Tuesday.
