WCJHS got a overtime win over Madison Central on Tuesday

Warren Central Junior High School football team defeated Madison Central 28-20 on Tuesday.

The Jaguars got on the board first but WC quickly responded when Ke’Anthony Wynn scored from a 80-yard run.

In the second quarter MC threw a touchdown but the Vikings would take care of business on their next possession. A fake punt by Duke Wright would set up a 20-yard touchdown run by Wynn to put the score at 14-14 at halftime.

MC would get another score coming out of halftime but WC picked up 10 yards every play on their next possession that set up another touchdown run by Wynn to tie the game at 20.

Nash Morgan hit Tristan Jamison on a 60-yard touchdown pass but it was called back due to penalty which forced the game to go into overtime.

On the first play of overtime, Wynn scored on a 10 yard run then Morgan hit Blake Caruthers on a pass for the two-point conversion.

Sampson caught the game-winning interception to lead the Vikings to the win.

Wright led the defense with eight tackles and two sacks. Vernon Sampson had four tackles and one interception and Wynn added four tackles.

WCJHS will travel to Terry on Tuesday.
