WC’s season ends in a loss to Brandon
The Warren Central High School football team’s season came to an end on Friday in a loss 36-28 Brandon.
The Vikings scored on their opening drive from a swing pass from Jack Wright to” Trey Hall along with a PAT by Jonah Artman.
The Bulldogs would respond with a short touchdown run by Nate Blunt.
Time would expire in the first quarter but WC would score again from a 35-pass to Zack Evans.
WC’s lead would be short-lived as Blunt came out and scored again for Brandon to tie the game at 14.
The Vikings showed that they came to play as Hall broke out for a 47 yard run. A few plays later Wright would score from a quarterback sneak as they went up 21-14.
The score would remain the same going into halftime.
Coming out of halftime, Brandon had no issue moving the ball which led to another touchdown by Blunt. The PAT was no good and WC was up 21-20.
After a punt by WC, Blunt would score again from 47 yards out to give Brandon a 27-21.
Just a couple of possessions later, the Bulldogs would score their final touchdown of the night as they took a 33-21 lead.
With 30 seconds left in the third quarter. Wright hit Evans for a 56 yard score.
Brandon managed to get a field goal in the fourth quarter which would be the final score of the night.
WC finished with a 10-2 record under head coach Josh Morgan.
