WC’s season ends in game three against Biloxi on Monday
Warren Central High School baseball team’s season came to an end on Monday night in a 6-3 loss to Biloxi.
Neither WC nor Biloxi could get a run in the first three innings of play where the game remained scoreless.
In the bottom of the fourth, Biloxi got two singles and a sacrificed that gave them a 4-0 lead over WC. The score remained the same throughout the fifth inning then J. Hartley singled and Biloxi grabbed another run to push their lead to 6-0 at the end of the sixth.
After a hit by Jack Wright, WC got two runs due to a double by Kylan Landers. Charlie Appleton also got a RBI for the Vikings to narrow Biloxi’s lead to 6-3.
Although WC attempted to get back into the game, they fell short of a victory after Floyd Davenport struck out in the final inning.
Landers struck out three batters on the night and Connor Watkins struck out one while giving up five hits.
Wright, Landers, Seth Sterling, Braxton McCurley, Davenport, Appleton, and Cade Fairley each had one hit on the night. Landers also had two RBIs.
WC went 11-15 this year under Head Coach Randy Broome.
