WC’s Zack Evans commits to Southern Illinois University

Warren Central High School football player Zack Evans has committed to playing at Southern Illinois University.

Evans, who plays wide receiver and safety, confirmed the news on Friday night.

In 2022, Evans led WC to a 10-2 season where he finished with five interceptions, six pass deflections, 436 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also made the All-District team and the VDN All-County Team.

Evans is coached by Josh Morgan and he still has his senior year left with the Vikings.
