Although it looks as if Warren County residents escaped injuries from yesterday’s tornadoes, some property wasn’t as lucky.

“We have damage all over the county,” said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace. “The main structural damage is here on Eagle Lake. We have one mobile home completely destroyed. We have several other structures with roof damage. We had some trees fall that took power lines and utility poles with them.”

Utility crews have been working at Eagle Lake since Sunday afternoon without a break to repair damages and restore power to residents.

“These guys have been here all night,” Pace said of workers from Twin County Electric Power, which serves the area.

Pace said no injuries have been reported in the county. Sheriff’s deputies are working with the Warren County Emergency Management Agency to assess damages, but except for the one mobile home at Eagle Lake, most of the damage appears to be relatively minor.

“We were blessed,” Pace said.
