‘We will shore it up’ – George
The Warren County Board of Supervisors met today to discuss a fallen wall and how to remedy the situation.
County Building & Grounds Director Chuck Thornton reported that a wall partially collapsed on the old Warren County Courthouse Museum at 1008 Cherry Street. “We have to figure out what we can do,” he said.
Because of the historic nature of the building, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History and the City of Vicksburg must be consulted.
“We will shore it up,” responded District 5 Supervisor Richard George.
The County authorized Thornton to proceed and report back to the board soon as possible.
