Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace is asking for the public’s help to curb criminal activity.

Tuesday morning, Warren County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to several reports of items being taken from vehicles overnight. Three in the area of Fisher Ferry, one on Halls Ferry and another in the area of Lee Road.

Items taken from four of the separate locations included two handguns, cash and an iPhone.

“Both of the handguns were reported to have been taken out of unlocked vehicles,” said Pace.

In one of the reports, the owner became aware and was able to scare the suspects away before anything was stolen. Pace is requesting that residents be cautious and contact authorities if any suspicious activity is noticed.

“We’re requesting the public’s assistance. If anybody sees or hears anything suspicious in or around their home or their neighborhood, call 911 immediately,” said Pace.

Anyone with information on the above crimes are urged to contact Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477 or the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 601-636-1761.
