Wesley, Williams and Robinson sign collegiate scholarships
Vicksburg High School football players Eric Wesley, Jaquez Williams, and Demarion Robinson all signed collegiate scholarships on Wednesday.
During their successful 7-5 season at VHS, each athlete brought a significant talent to the team which helped the Gators advance to the second round of the playoffs.
Williams is the big man on the offensive line that paved the way for the Gators to rush for over 2,000 yards this season. He announced last week that he will be taking his skills over to Jones Community College to play for the Bobcats.

“I would like thank God and the coaches for giving me another chance to play this sport on another level,” Williams said. “Out of the five offers I received, I will be going to Jones Community college to further my education and to play the sport I love.”
“I chose Jones because of their academic programs and I’m really excited to be a Bobcat and I can’t wait to get on campus.”
Robinson, who led VHS with 125 tackles and who was a prominent figure of their dominating defense that shutout multiple teams, chose to attend Copiah Lincoln Community.
“I chose Co-Lin because the environment fits me well and I’m a country guy so, but being able to play next level really excites me and I can’t wait to meet my new teammates,” Robinson said.
Wesley, who was named as the VDN’s Defensive Player of the Year, chose his next destination as Southwest Mississippi Community College. He will strive to make big plays in the secondary for the Bears.
“Southwest has a good academic program and I’m really fund of their surroundings but I’m really excited to get on the field and play college football,” Wesley said.
