Winter Storm Warning remains in effect
The wintry weather that has created so much havoc this week isn’t done with us yet.
The hard freeze warning remains in effect until noon today. Temperatures are expected to venture above freezing in the afternoon today but drop back below freezing soon after. A winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday. According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, “Heavy freezing rain and sleet expected with some snow possible. Total ice accumulations of four-tenths to seven-tenths of an inch and total snow accumulations of one to three inches on top of existing wintry accumulations.”
Accumulated ice will cause power outages and considerable tree damage. Travel will be nearly impossible.
If you do not have to go out, do not go out.
