Woman killed in one-car accident in Sharkey County

A woman has died in a one-car accident in Sharkey County.

Roshanda Grant, 47, was a passenger in a 2008 Chrysler Sebring traveling northbound on U.S. Hwy 61 around 7 p.m. Tuesday when the car left the road and overturned , reports WLBT.

Grant was killed, while the driver, Tranada Gibson, received non-life-threatening injuries. Gibson was transported to Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the accident. The reason for the crash has yet to be determined.
