Woman shot in the neck on Old Highway 27

A woman was shot in the neck with a pellet gun on Old Highway 27 just shortly after 8 p.m.

Earlier reports indicated that the victim went to a residence on the 5400 block of Old Highway 27 where she got into a confrontation with another woman which eventually led to the shooting. A fire medic unit was dispatched along with Warren County Sheriff Deputies to the scene where the woman was bleeding. She is now being transported to an area hospital to be treated for her wounds that appears to be non-life-threatening.
