Woman shot multiple times in Warren County Saturday

A woman was shot multiple times after an altercation in Warren County on Saturday afternoon.

Just after 6 p.m., E-911 received a call reporting that shots were fired at or near the Autumn Oaks Apartments, located at 4920 Halls Ferry Road.

Shortly thereafter, authorities were notified that a 26-year-old female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds arrived at Merit Health River Region by private vehicle.

Investigators spoke with the victim at the hospital. She was able to identify the shooter, according to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

“It is unclear at this time the events that led up to the shooting.  Investigators are still working the scene and interviewing witnesses,” Sheriff Pace said. “The victim is being treated for what we have been told are non-life-threatening injuries.”

Because the investigation into this incident is ongoing, Sheriff Pace declined to release the names of the parties involved at this time.
