Women’s basketball tonight: Vikings travel to Ridgeland

The Warren Central Lady Vikings basketball team will play the Ridgeland Titans tonight in a battle to rack up their fourth victory of the year.

The Vikings are showing a promising season by their performance in early games.

Coming off a 47-40 victory over Hattiesburg, the Vikings (3-1) are ready to take on the Titans (0-3), who haven’t won a game so far. The Vikings only suffered one loss this year against Raymond High School, in which Aniya Sanders dropped 20 points for the Vikings. Ashlea Raney scored 8 points for the Vikings but it was not good enough to pull off the victory.

The Vikings have had a couple of days to prepare for the Titans, who, based on their performances so far, don’t seem to have the defense to cover the Vikings great offense.

The game is scheduled for tonight at 6 p.m. at Ridgeland High School followed by the boy’s game.
