The good people of Woodmen Life have donated flags to county firefighters to display at the county fire stations.

“A lot of the fire stations don’t have flags outside of them,” said Sandra Harrigill. “And the ones that does are kind of raggity,” said Larry Harrigill, husband of 57 years to Sandra.

“That’s one lucky woman,” quipped Larry.

“We donate flags every year to our area non-profits. So if you ever need flags, like the Sheriff’s department, schools, churches,” said Sandra.

Woodmen Life, is a non-profit that is over 100-years-old and provides life insurance and other financial products to the community. They are known for giving back to the community, their website states:

…making a difference in hometowns across America and honoring our country since 1890. As a not-for-profit life insurance company, we put money back into the community.”

“Today is national flag day and each year we donate flags,” said Judy Branch. Branch and her husband Joe are with the local Woodmen Life chapter in Warren County.

“We are just regular members who try to do good work for our community,” said Sandra Harrigill.
