According to an earlier press release issued by the Vicksburg Police Department, on Thursday, June 8, at 11:37 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on the 1600 block of Crawford Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Kelvion Winston, 26, from Fayette, Mississippi, with a gunshot wound. An ambulance transported Winston to Merit Health River Region, but he later died from his injuries.
Last Friday, the Vicksburg Police Department announced that the United States Marshal’s Service had informed them of Williams’ arrest in the Dallas area.
Williams pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Jules Humphrey in 2014 and received a 15-year prison sentence for shooting him in the head and killing him in 2013.
