Yazoo County Fair falls victim to COVID-19

For the first time in 91 years, the Yazoo County Fair has been canceled.

The Yazoo County Fair Association announced Saturday that it made the unfortunate decision to cancel the 2020 fair, which had been scheduled for Oct. 16 through 24.

Citing concerns with COVID-19, the fair association hopes to return in 2021. 

The annual fair draws several thousand visitors each year to see displays from area farmers, young people and organizations, Miller Speculator Shows and more.
