Yazoo Valley Electric resumes the quest for power

Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association crews resumed work this morning on power restoration for around 2300 residents. They have divided their workforce throughout the area to help as many people as they possibly can.
Dangerous situations such as broken poles, downed lines and fallen limbs have them working cautiously. The roads themselves are of concern as black ice and slick conditions have made travel slow.
Help is expected today around noon as another co-op will join its forces on the roads, making a larger dent in the restoration effort.
The crew has already done an amazing job. They have braved dangerous conditions, with freezing temperatures for hours on end.
Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association has asked that people still call and report any outages.
