YMCA basketball: Liberty defeats the Starz 21-20 on Monday

The Liberty played a great game Monday night at the Vicksburg YMCA as they defeated the Starz last night in a 21-20 win.

Isabella Spires led Liberty 14 points and she also scored the game-winning shot to lead her team to victory.

Kaylyn Ray scored nine points for the Starz as they came close to a victory but eventually fell short.

Liberty was able to stop the game from going into overtime when Spires hit her final free throw to help them take home the win.

Liberty is third and fourth grade team made up with players from Beechwood Elementary and Bovina Elementary.
