Join Vicksburg National Military Park in honoring veterans through the power of poetry.
At 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, the park will be holding a tribute to veterans at the flagpole in front of the Visitor Center.
The event will include local veteran Clarence Jones reading poetry he has written concerning his experiences as a veteran, a moment of silence, and lowering and folding of the American flag at sunset.
The event is free.
