VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Timone Eacholes, better known as Gunno on social media, has quickly become a viral sensation with comedic videos that help people start their day with laughter. The Calhoun City, Mississippi native has only been in the comedy business for nine months but has already built a strong following across all of his social media platforms.

“September the 17th is when it happened,” Gunno said. “I really didn’t know what the hell I was going to do because I was just rapping, but I ended up making my first post that went viral. Then after my second one, I told God that if I go viral one more time I’m locking in.”

His videos, often less than a minute long, cover relatable topics like relationships and life advice—always with a comedic twist that keeps fans entertained for hours.

Although naturally gifted in comedy, Gunno called his success a true blessing.

“Your blessing is out there, you just have to chase them and I’m in a better place so I can be me,” he said. “When I was on some other stuff, I had to do whatever everybody else had me doing. But now I’m a leader instead of a follower.”

Gunno traces his comedic roots back to his job at Sonic, where he still works part time.

“I used to be at Sonic, and I still work there part time, it ain’t no shame in my game,” he said. “I would be on the clock and clowning in the group chat, but if that chat ever gets leaked I’m going to be buried under the jail,” he added with a laugh.

Though he moved away from Calhoun City about three years ago, Gunno said his hometown isn’t surprised by his rise.

“I haven’t found a hater yet, so thank God,” he said.

The former class clown now boasts 692,000 followers on TikTok, over 200,000 on Facebook, and 497,000 on Instagram.

Gunno has recently added stand-up comedy to his repertoire, performing at the Carver Theater and making a special appearance at the Celebrity Back to School Basketball Game in Vicksburg on Sunday.

In addition to comedy, Gunno continues to rap and encourages others to pursue their passions.

“Don’t stop chasing your dreams and submit to God and I promise you’ll get whatever you want,” he said.
