Alderman TJ Mayfield announces 2032 Sky Farm Avenue as Ward 1’s October “Yard of the Month” winner

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Alderman TJ Mayfield proudly announces 2032 Sky Farm Avenue as the recipient of Ward 1’s October Yard of the Month award. This well-maintained property earned this honor after receiving 64% of the total votes in a community Facebook poll hosted on the Ward 1 page.

Each month, residents are encouraged to nominate and vote for homes that exemplify pride in ownership and community spirit. The October competition drew strong participation, highlighting the dedication of Ward 1 residents to keeping their neighborhoods vibrant and welcoming.

“Community engagement like this is what makes Ward 1 so special,”said Alderman Mayfield. “The residents at 2032 Sky Farm Avenue have done an incredible job maintaining a yard that truly boosts the beauty of Ward 1. I’m grateful to everyone who voted and continues to take pride in Vicksburg’s neighborhoods. Several people have asked me if this initiative will continue during the winter months, and the answer is yes.”

The Yard of the Month program recognizes homeowners who go above and beyond to beautify their properties and inspire others to do the same. Winners receive public recognition from Alderman Mayfield and a Yard of the Month sign to display throughout the following month.
