Aunt B’s announces its closure
REDWOOD, Miss. (VDN) — Aunt B’s has closed its doors, the restaurant and bar & grill announced Sunday night in a social media post that thanked supporters and acknowledged the challenges of staying open.
“It’s with huge regret we have decided to close,” the post read. “We’ve literally poured everything we have into this. We are very thankful for the ones that have always supported us but unfortunately it’s not enough. Thank you all.”
Located on Old Highway 3 in Redwood, Aunt B’s served a wide range of food and drinks and became known for offering more than just a place to eat. Over the years, the establishment hosted an array of events that drew residents from across Warren County, including bingo nights, pool tournaments, karaoke nights, midget wrestling events, and its annual haunted gas station attraction.
After the announcement was posted to Facebook, dozens of patrons commented with memories, encouragement, and disappointment over the loss of a local gathering place.
“I’m so sorry to hear that. But I completely understand,” one supporter wrote. “Running a business is super expensive and exhausting. You made it into a great place. I enjoyed my visits there and the food was always great.”
Many echoed those sentiments, crediting Aunt B’s with bringing new energy and entertainment options to the community.
As of Monday, no additional information has been released regarding the circumstances of the closure or future plans for the property.
