VICKSBURG, Miss. — Barbara Ann Allbritton affectionately known as “Mimi” to those who cherished her most, went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born in Winnfield, Louisiana on October 21, 1942, and later settling in Vicksburg, Miss., Barbara lived a life that was rich in love, faith and service. She was a beautician for many years, using her talents not only to style hair, but also to brighten days and lift spirits with her gentle touch and kind heart.

Her truest joy, however, was found in the church, especially in the kitchen. Mimi could always be counted on to prepare a meal or set a table for the community. She was also an excellent wedding host, from cakes to drapes, Mimi had it covered. Barbara was happy to serve in any capacity.

Barbara made every person feel welcome at her table and in her heart. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Annie Mae Fowler, brother William Arthur “Buddy” Fowler, Jr., sister Betty Parker, sons Jerry Pete Lindsey and Larry Lindsey.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Lindsey Braswell, son Rodney Lindsey and his wife Debbie, sister-in-law Gail Fowler, granddaughter Carla Stokes Woods, grandson Wayne Lindsey and his wife Donna, grandson Don Lindsey and his wife Nicole, daughter-in-law Jeanie Lindsey, niece Amy Edds and her husband Ben, nephews Drew Fowler, Jason Rodgers and Jonathan Parker, great-grandchildren Shawn Woods and his wife Hanna, Brayden Lindsey, Jasmin Lindsey, Chelsea Lindsey, and Brian McCammon, and numerous extended family.

Pallbearers will be James Henry, Buddy Wooten, Brandon Hunt, Keith Stennett, Ray Melancon, and Ronnie Monsour.  Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Hill, Shan Woods, Jonathan Oldenburg, Wayne Oldenburg, Brian Wells, and Josh Morgan

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Bovina Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery, in Winnfield, LA.
