Bond revoked for Vicksburg woman facing kidnapping and unnatural intercourse charges

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A Vicksburg woman’s bond has been revoked after she was charged with kidnapping and unnatural intercourse.
Judge Toni Terrett revoked the bond of Shakhai Galvin on Thursday following her arrest on the new charges.
Galvin had previously been out on bond for a 2024 charge of third-offense domestic violence. The new charges were presented in court this week.
Assistant District Attorney Liem Walker represented the state and called Vicksburg Police Department investigator Nick Carson to the stand. Carson testified that officers were called to Urban Court last month after witnesses reported hearing unusual sounds. When police arrived, Galvin and her mother allegedly told officers that no one else was inside the home.
Officers later found a victim in the back of the apartment. The victim told authorities she had been restrained to a bed and that a foreign object had been used for penetration. She also reported being beaten.
After hearing testimony, Judge Terrett revoked Galvin’s bond. She remains in the Warren County Jail.
