Bowmar Avenue shooting victim identified

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — The victim in the Bowmar Avenue shooting has been identified. The victim has been identified as Jeremy Bailey also known as Remyy to his friends. He was 32 years old.

The shooting happened late Monday night on Bowmar Avenue.

Initial report:

One person was shot and killed on Bowmar Avenue Monday night.

According to multiple accounts, a black male was shot and killed on Bowmar near Yerger, just west of Halls Ferry, at about 10 minutes to midnight on Monday. 

Numerous police, fire, and a medic unit were dispatched to the scene. Vicksburg Police Investigator Lionel Johnson was also observed at the crime scene.
